Amy Strickland, Au.D., received her Bachelor’s degree in 1989 and Master’s in Communication Disorders in 1990 from Auburn University. Shortly after, she completed internships at Gwinett County School System and for Ron Steenerson, M.D., in Atlanta. From 1991 to 2008, Dr. Strickland worked in an ENT setting and earned her Doctorate in Audiology in 2005 from Salus University (previously PCO). In 2008, she went to the Alabama Department of Public Health as Director of Newborn Hearing Screening for the state.
Realizing that she missed direct patient contact, she returned to clinical practice in 2012 with CAENT. Dr. Strickland is also a clinical supervisor for Auburn University Au.D. students for third-year internship placements. In her spare time, Amy enjoys cooking, reading and exercising.
